Strengthening International Research Partnerships: UTS Visit to Lithuania and Latvia - December 2024

We are delighted to have helped organised The University of Technology Sydney visit to Lithuania and Latvia!
 
The visit kicked off with insightful meetings in Vilnius with the leadership of Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, VILNIUS TECH - Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, and the Research Council of Lithuania | Lietuvos mokslo taryba. Discussions focused on building enduring partnerships through Horizon Europe calls, accessing EU devolved funding, and developing joint research and knowledge transfer initiatives.
 
In Kaunas, the delegation engaged deeply with Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas, Kaunas University of Technology, and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, exploring exciting opportunities in excellence-driven research and EU-funded projects.
 
The journey concluded in Riga, Latvia, with fruitful conversations at the University of Latvia (Latvijas Universitāte), Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University), Rīga Stradiņš University, and the Latvian Council of Science. These discussions paved the way for a number of project-based ideas and collaborative potential within the European science ecosystem.
