Recent Research on Equity in TNE Partnerships: Insights and Imperatives for Sustainable Collaboration - July 2025

Written by Charles Cormack, Chairman of Cormack Consultancy Group

Equitable partnerships are at the heart of sustainable transnational education (TNE), and Cormack Consultancy Group is proud to release its latest research exploring how these partnerships can move beyond transactional arrangements and deliver truly transformative outcomes.

Through a comprehensive study and expert analysis, CCG’s latest publications provide a blueprint for building fair, balanced, and impactful TNE collaborations, particularly between Indian institutions and universities in the Global North.

The research draws on input from over 1,200 stakeholders and 25 senior administrators at Indian universities to examine current challenges in areas such as revenue sharing, mobility, academic recognition, and governance. These publications provide strategic, evidence-based recommendations for foreign universities seeking long-term and meaningful partnerships.

At the core of the findings is a call to action: for institutions to prioritise mutual investment, shared purpose, and contextual awareness. The time for extractive models is over—what’s needed now is collaboration rooted in equity and respect.
