What you could do to help

Solidarity

International universities could support Ukrainian counterparts by issuing the letter of support which condemns the invasion of Russia into Ukraine.

Supporting refugees

According to the latest UN estimates, more than 13 million of Ukrainians had to leave their homes to escape the horror of war. This number will only continue to grow as the atrocities keep happening. Universities could encourage local communities to support refugees.

Immediate assistance

International universities could support Ukrainian counterparts by offering consultation and knowledge in the needed fields i.e. crisis management etc.

Double degrees and scholarships

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has affected the ability of Ukrainian and international students to continue their education. To mitigate the situation, foreign institutions could show their support by offering double degrees and scholarships.

Support for territorial defence forces

Territorial defence forces are in need of medical support and protective equipment which you could help find or donate to the relevant organisations.

Supporting academics

Saving their lives, many academics, especially from the cities which have been under the constant shelling, are leaving Ukraine and go abroad. In the short term, universities could help them with accommodation and/or job offers.
